02 · Service Pillars

Three reinforcing
service pillars.

Every modern software product passes through engineering, productization, or intelligence — usually all three. We're structured to deliver any combination.

PILLAR 01

Custom Software Engineering

End-to-end full-stack development of bespoke web and mobile applications. The foundation of every long client relationship.

  • Customer-facing web platforms & PWAs
  • Native & cross-platform mobile (iOS, Android)
  • Internal portals, dashboards, admin systems
  • API-first backends & microservices
  • Cloud-native deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

PILLAR 02

Enterprise SaaS Solutions

Productized, localized SaaS for Qatari SMEs. Where Pillar I builds one product for one client, Pillar II builds one many can subscribe to.

  • Localized ERP — accounting, inventory, VAT
  • Localized CRM — sales, WhatsApp Business
  • HRMS & Payroll — Qatari labor law, WPS-compliant
  • Vertical SaaS — F&B, clinics, professional services

PILLAR 03

AI & Automation Integration

AI treated as software — engineered with evaluation, observability, fallback logic, and clear cost controls. Real productivity, not magic.

  • Intelligent document processing (Arabic + English)
  • Conversational AI for service (web, WhatsApp, voice)
  • Internal copilots embedded in business systems
  • Workflow automation across SaaS tools
  • Data pipelines & analytics layers

03 · Productized SaaS

Four products, one playbook:
built for Qatar, engineered for the GCC.

Our second-half roadmap turns project equity into product equity. Each subscriber adds margin without adding headcount in proportion — the structural shift that defines the second half of our 36-month plan.

05 · About

A boutique,
not a consultancy.

The people who win the work are the same people who write the code. Decisions move at the speed of a single conversation. That is the structural advantage we have over both multinational consultancies and offshore body-shops.

Founder-led, senior-first.

GRAY DATA was originally chartered as a general IT services firm. After eighteen months of market observation we resolved to discontinue all hardware and physical-infrastructure work — and pivot fully into software, where margins are healthier and Qatari demand is growing fastest.

Today we operate as a small, senior engineering team, deliberately structured to remain lean, fast, and accountable to clients in a market where most software work is either outsourced abroad or absorbed into bloated consulting hierarchies.

01

Craftsmanship over volume

One excellent system over ten mediocre ones. Code quality, architectural integrity, and UX are non-negotiable.

02

Local first, globally engineered

Arabic UX, Qatari compliance, Gulf business culture — built to international standards of security and scale.

03

Founders in the code

Senior engineers stay close to the keyboard. We don't separate those who sell from those who build.

04

Recurring trust

Our SLA retainers and SaaS subscriptions only renew if the software keeps working — and we engineer accordingly.

05

Talent compounds

Our most valuable asset is the engineers we hire and develop. Talent strategy is a strategic, not administrative, function.

06 · Careers

Build software
that ships from Doha.

Talent compounds. We invest in a structured engineering pool as a strategic function — senior mentorship, real architectural ownership, and projects that ship to production, not slide decks.

What it's like to work here

Small teams. Real ownership. Senior engineers in every conversation. We pair junior talent with our founders on real client work — not shadow projects — and we ship to production from week one.

If you've spent time at a consultancy or body-shop and felt the work was a layer removed from impact, you'll feel the difference here.

Common
questions.

What clients ask before our first conversation. If yours isn't here, send it directly — you'll hear back from an engineer, not a sales channel.

Our primary segment is Qatari SMEs (typically 20–250 staff) that have outgrown spreadsheets and off-the-shelf SaaS. We selectively take on mid-market and semi-government engagements where the work plays to our strengths in custom engineering and Arabic-first UX.
Most projects start with a 1–2 week discovery sprint to scope architecture and deliverables. From there, we typically deliver in 6–16 week build cycles, followed by an SLA-backed retainer for ongoing development. You work directly with senior engineers — not a layer of account managers.
Yes — we're software-pure. In 2025 we discontinued all hardware, networking, and physical-infrastructure offerings to focus entirely on engineering excellence and recurring digital revenue. We integrate with hardware your operations already run.
Arabic-first UX, RTL layout, Hijri calendar support, and Qatari regulatory compliance are first-class requirements in every product we ship — not afterthoughts. Our engineers and designers work bilingually.
Yes. GRAY DATA is registered as a Qatari commercial entity under "Software Design, Development, and Publishing," and holds the licenses to contract with private-sector, semi-government, and tender for public-sector software projects.
Three reinforcing streams: project-based fees for custom builds, monthly SLA retainers for ongoing maintenance and feature delivery, and subscription fees for our productized SaaS once it ships in late 2026.
We're headquartered in Doha and operate as an on-site / hybrid team. Most engagements involve regular in-person workshops with clients in Qatar; for the GCC region we work hybrid.
